        Reason for this Petition

To the Speaker and Member of the Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory:
This petition of certain residents of the Australian Capital Terrify draws to the attention of the Assembly that the Watson shops are a popular destination for many Canberrans. Crossing Windeyer Street to get to the shops is often dangerous given the number of cars that travel along that street.
Your Petitioners therefor request the Assembly to call on the ACT Government to undertake an assessment of traffic flows in the area with a view to constructions a pedestrian crossing across Windeyer Street opposite the Watson Shops.
