Reason for this Petition

The following residents of the ACT draw to the attention of the Assembly

  • Charnwood-Dunlop School has only one play space that is currently not suitable for use by all ages or abilities. 
  • The playground is currently only suitable for kindergarten-aged children, and it is not all-abilities inclusive as children with mobility aids cannot access the play space. 
  • The P&C has campaigned for more than 18-months to finance the school, but this remains well short of their funding target. 
  • The students of Charnwood-Dunlop School deserve an inclusive play space that will be greatly valued by the school community.

Requested Actions

Your petitioners, therefore, urge the Assembly to contribute to the P&C-established fund to finance the remaining money required for the construction of the play space at Charnwood-Dunlop School.
